My name is Michael Lea Hilton, and I've been a firearms instructor since 1998. I am a former Louisiana P.O.S.T. firearms instructor for law enforcement, and I currently reside in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas where I teach NRA, Private Security, and Texas License to Carry courses.
Searching online, you will have hundreds of instructors to choose from. Before you select your next firearms course, be sure to ask the instructor following questions:
- What is your professional background and experience with firearms?
- Are you insured?
- Do you have strict time limits for course completion, or are you willing to take the necessary time to work with an inexperienced shooter?
- Do you have references? Would you be willing to put me in touch with someone who has taken your course?
